On October 6, the Nizhnekamsk Ice Arena "Neftekhimik" will become the venue for the next match of the KHL regular championship. The local Neftekhimik, who failed the start of the season, will host one of the leaders of the championship - the capital's Dynamo.

At home, Siberia was beaten 2-1, but on the road, Neftekhimik first managed to beat Metallurg 6-5, and then Tractor 2-1. This did not bring special dividends in terms of moving up the standings to Neftekhimik, with seven points scored, Leontiev's wards are still closing the standings in the East, three points behind the closest rival.

Blue and white plans to build a new team around their own talented young people seem to be starting to bear fruit. In the summer, it seemed that the loss of Shipachev, Galiyev, Voinov and a number of other players who determined the team’s game pattern would finish off Dynamo, and this season the blue and white can be safely deleted from the list of contenders for high places. However, Aleksey Kudashov proved that even without bright stars it is possible to build a completely combat-ready team.
