The unexpected leader of the Western Conference, Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo, will play a home match on September 12 against representatives of the Far East - the Admiral hockey club from Vladivostok.

In the opening matches of the current championship, there are no significant changes in the Admiral’s game structure; it’s still the same game as number two, with an emphasis on counterattacking hockey.
Such tactics did not work in the opening game against CSKA, which the Far Easterners played in Moscow.
